R & E (992): Casually seen in March, but during most springs it is not seen until mid-Apr in the south and about a week later in the north. Peak is in early May, and it is common thereafter.

R & E (1992): Common summer resident. Most abundant in Glaciated and Osage plains.



R & E (1992): The bulk of the migrants pass through during the last ten days of Sept and the first few days of Oct. But by the beginning of the second week of Oct few birds are seen, and after early Nov it is only casually encountered.
