R & E: The majority of winter records are from the southeastern section of the state, and most of these are on CBCs; At time of R & E at least one bird was recorded on 7 of the last 19 Mingo CBCs. There are an additional 15+ records for this season, from as far north as St. Louis and west to the Branson area.

R & E: In the south the first migrants appear in early March and about a week later in the north. Peak is in early to mid-April.

R & E: Peak numbers of fall migrants are seen in September, with 2-3 birds/day encountered until mid-Oct. Thereafter usually only solitary birds are observed, with very few seen in Dec.
