April 5, 1901 - Last nesting record in Missouri
(Clutch of 5 eggs collected); Specimen, cannot be located now; Hahatonka, Camden Co.; P. Smith; R & E,
Widmann 1907; Smith (in Widmann 1907) stated that about 6 pairs were in the vicinity, and he also mentioned
a colony that nested "a few years earlier" along the Gasconade River, near Vienna.

R & E: Apparently this species was uncommon in Missouri until the 1870's,
but it disappeared from most of the state shortly thereafter (Widmann 1907; Harris 1919b).
